Bruce Talbott of Palisade was named the Colorado Fruita & Vegetable Growers Association Member of the Year for 2022.

Talbott, who operates Talbott’s Mountain Gold, was elected to the CFVGA board in 2015 and served as president the past two years. He will continue to represent Colorado growers on the Western Growers board of directors.

“I have to recogize all the others who worked so hard to shape CFVGA into a thriving organization that today very effectively represents and advocates for Colorado produce growers, ” he said.

A fifth-generation fruit grower, Talbott served two terms on the U.S. Department of Agriculture fruit and vegetable industry advisory committee and American Farm Bureau labor committee.
