Jeffrey Hurd has joined Ireland, Stapleton, Pryor & Pascoe as a director and will lead the Grand Junction office of the law firm.
Bernie Buescher, an attorney and former Colorado Secretary of State and state legislator, will split his time between the firm’s offices in Denver and Grand Junction.
“This is an opportunity to build a Colorado law firm that can truly provide local Western Slope representation while tapping into the depth and breadth of a well-regarded Denver practice,” Hurd said.
Erica Tarpey, managing director of Ireland Stapleton, said she’s excited to open an office in Western Colorado. “We have had a client base on the Western Slope for decades and are committed to providing solutions to challenging and sophisticated legal issues throughout the state and the region.”
Hurd brings to his new position experience working on complex litigation and regulatory matters as well as internal investigations and appeals. He’s represented rural electric cooperatives, special districts, municipalities and corporate entities. He holds a law degree from the University of Denver and master of laws degree from Columbia University.
Founded in 1926, Ireland Stapleton offers a full range of commercial law services. The firm is the Colorado member of the SCG Legal law firm network. For more information, visit www.irelandstapleton.com.
