Auctioneer completes first year of certification training

Cissy Tabor of Cissy’s Auction Services in Rifle has completed her first year at the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), a training program developed by the National Auctioneers Association for auction professionals.

The three-year program offers instruction in business management, communication, ethics, financing, marketing and planning. Upon completion, Tabor will join a group of less than 1,000 auctioneers with the CAI designation.

Tabor is a graduate of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, World Wide College of Auctioneering and Professional Ringmans Institute. She also holds degrees in management and accounting from what’s now Colorado Mesa University.

Tabor specializes in fund-raising and storage facility  auctions. As a professional speaker, Cissy conducts seminars, workshops and volunteer training for fund-raising clients.
