A bagel, coffee and sandwich shop on the Colorado Mesa University campus in Grand Junction has new owners and a new name.

Gale and Stan Foster have purchased what was Main Street Bagels and renamed the venture River City Bagels & More.

Gale Foster said she decided to leave the banking industry after 30 years to pursue her life-long dream of owning her own business. Stan Foster said he also will continue to work for the City of Grand Junction.

River City Bagels & More continues to serve freshly baked goods from Main Street Bagels, but also offers a new proprietary blended coffee called Mad Cow. In addition to bagels and coffee, the shop serves espresso coffee drinks and smoothies as well as sandwiches, paninis, salads and soups.

Located at 936 North Ave., River City Bagels & More is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 241-7734.
