Bank donates nearly $750,000 through loyalty card program

Alpine Bank has donated a total of nearly $750,000 to nonprofit groups and projects as part of an 18-year-old debit card program the bank offers customers.

Alpine Bank donates 10 cents to organizations and projects for every transaction completed with what the bank brands as a Loyalty Debit Card. The cards are available with no annual fee for customers with an Alpine Bank checking account.

Customers select from among six areas to earmark funds, including the arts, community, education and environment as well as Colorado Mountain College and Latin-American community projects. Alpine Bank launched the program in 1997.

“We genuinely appreciate the participation of our customers,” said Bob Young, chairman of Alpine Bank. “The success of our Loyalty Debit Card program is a wonderful reflection of your commitment to our communities, and we thank you for your support.”

Headquartered in Glenwood Springs, Alpine Bank operates 38 locations across Colorado, employs nearly 600 people and has assets of $2.7 billion. For more information about the Loyalty Debit Card and other banking products and services, visit the Web site located at
