An executive who’s served as business banking manager and community banking president of Wells Fargo Bank in Grand Junction has announced his plans to retire.
Steve Irion said he expects to retire in December, ending a more than 20-year career with Wells Fargo.
Irion said he’s grateful for the opportunity to work with what he called an outstanding team as well as the long-term relationships he’s developed with staff and customers.
Irion joined Wells Fargo in Grand Junction in 1993 and subsequently served in a number of positions in business and retail banking. He was promoted to business banking manager in 1996 and community banking president for the Grand Junction market in 2006. He took on a role as both business banking manager and community banking president in 2010.
Irion also has been involved in community activities, including the Grand Junction Economic Partnership.
