A month-long campaign based on the children’s picture book “The Day the Crayons Quit” will culminate Sept. 30 with activities at Barnes & Noble located at 2451 Patterson Road in Grand Junction.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. and include a reading of “The Day the Crayons Quit” and march supporting Crayons. The event also will include an announcement of whether or not a letter-writing and picture-drawing campaign conducted during September convinced the Crayons not to go on strike. Crayon stationary and a message box will be available at Barnes & Noble as part of the campaign.
