Crystal Books and Gifts in Grand Junction will host a series of free presentations featuring local authors and a palm reader.

The Off the Shelf event set for 6 p.m. Aug. 11 will feature Carroll Multz and Judy Blevins, who’ve written novels separately and together.

The presentation set for 6 p.m. Aug. 18 will feature Denaie Christine, author of a young adult fantasy trilogy.

A lecture scheduled for 1 p.m. Aug. 20 will feature Robin Gile, an author and palmist. Gile also will offer private half-hour personal readings Aug. 19 to 21 for $50.
