Boy Scout troop plans Christmas tree fund-raiser

Boy Scout Troop 328 once again will sell Christmas trees in an annual fund-raiser to help pay for camping trips, outdoor equipment and other expenses.

The tree lot is scheduled to open Nov. 27 in the parking lot at Duffy’s Outdoor Power Equipment, 2482 Patterson Road in Grand Junction. The lot will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 27 and weekends and 5 to 8 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 12. The troop will sell Douglas, Fraser, Grand and Noble fir Christmas trees for $35 to $79.

Along with the tree sale, Duffy’s will host a model train show. Admission is a suggestion donation of $3 for adults, $1 for children and $5 for families. Proceeds will go to Boy Scout Troop 328.
