A Grand Junction brewery and restaurant operation plans to mark 10 years in business with a week-long celebration that will include a festival featuring seven regional breweries.

“It’s hard to believe we have been Kannah Creek Brewing Co. for 10 years,” said Jim Jeffryes, co-owner and head brewer. “We thought, initially, that if we could get to our three-year anniversary, we had a good chance at success. So after 10 years, I sincerely thank our community for supporting our brewpub family.”

Kannah Creek opened Oct. 25, 2005 in a building that previously housed a buffet restaurant. Kannah Creek initially operated a brewpub and restaurant. The operation subsequently expanded to include two restaurants as well the Edgewater Brewery, which bottles beer distributed throughout Colorado.

The anniversary celebration is scheduled to continue through Oct. 25 at the Kannah Creek location at 1960 N. 12th St.

Special Kannahversary logo barrel glasses are available for $5 each. Festival t-shirts will go on sale Oct. 22 and retro logo growlers will go on sale Oct. 23.

The Kannahversary beer festival is set for 2 to 6 p.m.  Oct. 24. Tickets sell for $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event, plus tax. Admission includes a Kannahversary glass and unlimited samples from Kannah Creek as well as Copper Club Brewing, Horsefly Brewing, Palisade Brewing, Rockslide Brewery, Suds Brothers Brewery and Two Rascals Brewing.
