Nominations will be accepted through July 24 for a fully paid mountain expedition designed to help disabled veterans overcome personal challenges.
Rise Broadband, a Colorado-based company that provides Internet and telephone services in 15 states, will fund the No Barriers Colorado Collegiate Range Expedition.
Ten veterans will participate in the expedition, set for Oct. 13 to 19. The expedition will include a 20-mile wilderness trek, ropes course and strenuous climb — activities designed to push veterans physically and mentally while also teaching them about facing adversity, setting goals and leading others.
Participants must live in one of the 15 states Rise Broadband serves and demonstrate a desire to overcome barriers and live a life of purpose. Nominations may be submitted online on the Web site at www.nobarrierswarriors.org/rise-nominate/. Ten participants and two alternates will be selected in August.
Rise Broadband serves a total of nearly 200,000 commercial and residential accounts in the Rocky Mountain region as well as the Midwest and Southeast. For more information, visit the Web site at www.risebroadband.com.
