Gearhead Outfitters will be closed April 7 to April 25 for renovations inside the store at 461 Main St.

The renovation will involve: installing new fixtures; creating more space to display more merchandise; moving the shoe wall toward the front of the store; and better delineation of the kids and women’s sections.

The commercial space at 419 Main St., has a “For Lease” sign displayed in a front window. Modern Nomad, the previous tenant, was seized by the Colorado Department of Revenue in February. The premises now sits empty. The sign lists the space is 3,125 square feet with an additional small basement. It says it has “reasonable rent,” and it will be a gross lease, not NNN (triple net lease).

Grand Junction Daily Sentinel owner Seaton Publishing Company is buying the Montrose Daily Press and its production facility and the Delta County Independent from Wick Communications, according to April 1 articles by each of the three publications.
