Laura Mercier has been named director of the incubator and commercial kitchen programs at the Business Incubator Center in Grand Junction.

Mercier brings to her duties experience in event management, marketing, outreach and nonprofit operations. She also owns a business designing and selling textiles and holds a master’s of business administration degree.

“I am thrilled to join the Business Incubator Center. Having worked in both the business and nonprofit arenas throughout my career, I am looking forward to the opportunity to merge this experience at one location,” Mercier said. “Working with local entrepreneurs to develop their businesses through training and individual coaching as well as helping to develop economic growth in Mesa County will be an exciting new adventure. Together with the talented and committed staff at the Business Incubator Center, we will continue to move the program in an innovative direction.”
