Grand Valley businesses once again will participate in October in the Dollars for Dogs and Cash for Cats fall fund-raiser for the Roice-Hurst Human Society.

People can purchase paper “paws” for $1 or more. All donations will go to the no-kill animal shelter, located at 362 28 Road in Grand Junction.

Alpine Bank, Loco Food and Shell locations will participate, as will All Pets Center, Chow Down Pet Supplies, Coronado Liquor and the Hot Tomato. A list of participating businesses is available on the Roice-Hurst Web site at www.RHHumaneSociety.Com.
