Dorothy Rinderle has earned recognition for her service as a volunteer for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Mesa County.
Rinderle received the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. The award recognizes volunteers who’ve completed 500 hours of service.
CASA of Mesa County provides a voice in court for children who’ve been victims of abuse and neglect. Since its inception in 1997, CASA of Mesa County has served nearly 4,000 children.
Rinderle has provided a total of more than 500 hours of service over the past 20 years and served more than 60 children, said Joy Thompson, executive director of CASA of Mesa County. “We are thrilled to honor Dorothy with this award. She is an inspiration to her fellow volunteer advocates, our staff and our community.”
