Chamber honors expanding businesses

Three businesses and two organizations have been honored for creating a total of 72 jobs and investing in $630,000 in capital expenditures.

The five were recognized during the latest quarterly membership luncheon hosted by the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce.

Community Hospital was honored for creating 27 jobs and investing $500,000 in opening a new cancer treatment center. Comfort Keepers, a franchise operation offering in-home services to seniors and others who need assistance, created 28 jobs. All Seasons Rentals Hotsy created six jobs and invested $130,000. The Riverside Education Center created eight jobs, while Nexstar created three jobs.
