Four companies have been honored for expanding operations in the Grand Valley that involved a collective $10 million in capital investments and 82 new jobs.
The Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce honored the companies during its latest quarterly membership luncheon.
Business expansion awards were presented to:
ANB Bank for the construction of a branch office near 12th Street and Patterson Road and renovations at branches in Clifton and downtown Grand Junction. Vance Wagner, regional president for ANB Bank, said a total of $8 million was spent on the projects, and the bank added 10 jobs
Community Orthopedic Group for a capital investment of $2 million and the creation of 65 jobs.
JR’s Carriage Service for a capital investment of $30,000 and five new jobs. Owner Joseph Burtard said the business has experienced growth in its horse-drawn wine tours, and 95 percent of customers come from outside the Grand Valley.
Nexa1, an information technology services provider, for adding two jobs.
Counting the latest award winners, the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce honored 22 companies in 2018, said Diane Schwenke, president and chief executive officer. Those expanding operations involved a total of $50 million in capital investment and 262 jobs, Schwenke said.
