Diane Schwenke, president and chief executive officer of the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, has earned an award for her efforts to advance the professionalism of the chamber industry.
Schwenke received the Russell E. Pettit Memorial Excellence in Leadership Award from the Western Association of Chamber Executives. The WACE, an association of chamber executives and staff professionals, represents a total of about 720 members from 14 western states. The award was presented during the WACE conference in Los Angeles.
The award is presented annually to a WACE member with a long record of assisting peers and advancing the professionalism of the chamber industry.
“Diane stands out as an industry leader, is a mentor to many and is a collaborator in many projects to advance the professionalism of her peers in the chamber industry,” said Dave Kilby, president of the WACE.
