Martin Marez has joined Spoons Bistro & Bakery in Grand Junction as executive chef.
Marez brings to his duties experience working in restaurants across the Western United States. He also worked at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
“Spoons has a very fresh, positive and energetic menu, atmosphere and service,” Marez said. “I really enjoy the variety of dishes we offer at Spoons. Some of my favorite dishes to make are the vegetarian and gluten-free options. I know that we are able to cater to people’s dietary needs.”
Brenda Witzke, general manager of Spoons Bistro & Bakery, said she’s pleased to have Marez on staff. “One of the biggest reason we chose Martin as our new executive chef is because of the ingenuity he has with developing new dishes in house from fresh ingredients and putting a Spoons spin on it.”
