Wanda Winkelmann has joined Grand Junction as city clerk.

Winkelmann succeeds Stephanie Tuin, who retired, and brings to her latest position more than 15 years of experience as a municipal cleark. She served as city clerk in Fort Collins and Rifle as well as in Peoria, Ariz. She’s earned the designation as master municipal clerk and holds a master’s degree in business from Regis University.

In Grand Junction, Winkelmann oversees the operation of the city clerk division, maintaining records, conducting elections, processing liquor licenses and staffing city council meetings.

Grand Junction City Manager Greg Caton appointed Winkelmann. “We are so pleased to have Wanda join us,” Caton said. “The city clerk position is a key component of city government, and it was important to get the right person in the role. Wanda is a leader in her field, and we are fortunate to have been able to recruit her. We look forward to her contributions to the organization and the community.”
