Candidates in a variety of races have been invited to participate in debates hosted by Club 20 in Grand Junction.

The debates are scheduled for Sept. 6 at Two Rivers Convention Center, located at 159 Main St.

The debates will feature candidates vying in nearly every Western Slope race for the Colorado House of Representatives and Senate.

Candidates running for election in the 2nd and 3rd Congressional District in Colorado as well as those running for U.S. Senate and governor also have been invited to participate.

The debates will be part of the annual fall meeting for Club 20, a Grand-Junction based coalition of businesses, governments and individuals in the region.

On Sept. 5, the event will include meetings of the Club 20 executive committee and board of directors followed by a steak fry.
