A coalition of organizations promoting economic development in the Grand Valley continues to earn recognition for its efforts.
The Grand Junction Area Economic Development Partners received a bronze excellence in economic development award from the International Economic Development Council during its annual conference in Canada.
This is the second straight year Economic Development Partners have won awards from the IEDC, an organization serving economic developers.
The latest award recognized the efforts of the Economic Development Partners during Economic Development Week in May.
The campaign informs business owners and managers as well as the community about the Economic Development Partners and their efforts. The campaign included videos featuring community leaders involved in economic development efforts, an appreciation barbecue for small businesses and a billboard highlighting resources to promote business growth.
The Economic Development Council of Colorado and Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade won a silver excellence in economic development award for an Economic Development Week campaign titled “How Colorado Came Together to Market Economic Development.” The effort included news releases, a blog from the director of OEDIT and social media campaign.
