Construction firm awarded for renovation project

A Grand Junction-based construction company is among the winners of national awards presented to members of the Associated Builders and Contractors trade group.

FCI Constructors was among the National Excellence in Construction Pyramid Award winners announced during the ABC convention in California. FCI won the award for its efforts as general contractor of a renovation project at the Grand Hyatt Denver.

The National Excellence in Construction awards program honors contractors as well as architects, engineers and owners. Projects are evaluated on the basis of attractiveness, completion time, complexity, cost, innovation and safety.

“ABC members and their projects were recognized as being the best of the best,” said Doug Carlson, president and chief executive officer of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of ABC.

In addition to its headquarters in Grand Junction, FCI Constructors operates a total of eight other offices in six states. The company handles a range of projects, including those for the aviation, government, health care, higher education and office sectors. For more information, visit www.fciol.com
