CPW to host sportsperson meeting in GJ

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will host a Northwest Region sportsperson meeting Jan. 8 in Grand Junction, inviting hunters, anglers and other outdoor-recreation stakeholders to discuss regional wildlife, hunting and fishing issues.

According to a Colorado Parks and Wildlife news release, the meeting will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the CPW Northwest Region Office, Hunter Education Building, 711 Independent Ave., with a virtual participation option available for those who register in advance.

CPW said staff will provide updates on hunting and fishing topics affecting the Northwest Region, followed by an open discussion led by members of the Sportsperson’s Roundtable.

The agency said the meeting is designed to be driven by sportsperson input rather than a fixed agenda, giving attendees an opportunity to raise concerns and share priorities directly with wildlife managers.
