Crossroads Fitness in Grand Junction has scheduled a benefit Zumba party as part of its observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October.
What’s billed as a party in pink is set to begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 18 in the parking lot of the Crossroads Fitness airport location at 2768 Compass Drive. A Zumba class is set for 9 to 11 a.m. The event also will include refreshments and prizes.
Admission is $10, and proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The event is open to the public, and participants are encouraged to wear pink.
“Benefits from a Zumba workout include increased self-confidence, better balance and concentration and, most importantly, Zumba brings the fun back into your workout,” said Larisa Gould, a Zumba instructor at Crossroads. “There is no experience necessary to participate. Just come and join the party.”
