Grand Junction Subaru has donated nearly $16,000 to a Grand Valley animal shelter, the latest proceeds from an annual Subaru Share the Love event.
Grand Junction Subaru donated $250 to the Roice-Hurst Humane Society for every Subaru vehicle the dealership sold or leased between Nov. 19, 2015 and Jan. 2, 2016.
“It feels great to be able to give back to such an amazing organization that is near and dear to so many of our customers’ hearts,” said Ron Bubar, owner of Grand Junction Subaru.
The Roice-Hurst Humane Society has operated a shelter and adoption center for dogs and cats since 1963. The organization also offers behavior assessment and training, low-cost vaccination clinics and pet-related educational opportunities.
“Grand Junction Subaru has been a generous supporter of Roice-Hurst over the years. We are extremely honored and grateful to receive a donation of this magnitude,” said Anna Stout, executive director of the Roice-Hurst Humane Society.
