David Norman, director of the Area Agency on Aging, has been appointed to the Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging.
Norman, a 41-year employee of Mesa County, will serve a two-year term on the state group as a representative with knowledge and experience of state and local budgets. He also will represent nonprofit groups that provide services to seniors in Mesa County.
The Strategic Action Planning Group examines the effects of aging in Colorado and develops a plan on aging through 2030
“This is a very appropriate and prestigious appointment,” said Tracey Garchar, executive director of the Mesa County Department of Human Services. “Dave is a strong and knowledgeable advocate for our senior population.”
