Directory offers fresh look at agricultural outlets

The latest edition of an annual directory of farmers’ markets, roadside produce stands and wineries in Colorado is now available.

The Colorado Farm Fresh Directory is available for free from participating chamber of commerce offices, visitor centers and Colorado State University Extension offices. The directory also is available online from the website at www.coloradoagriculture.com/farmfresh.

“This is an exciting time of year, when local produce, meat and other food favorites can be found at farmers’ markets. Consumers really look forward to the Colorado Farm Fresh Directory every year because it helps them connect with local producers,” said Wendy White, marketing specialist for the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

The directory lists a total of more than 200 farms, ranches, roadside stands, u-pick operations and wineries in Colorado as well as 110 farmers’ markets across the state. The directory also includes information about county fairs, food and agricultural festivals and tips for selecting Colorado produce.
