Dr. Philip Sarges has joined Grand Junction Gastroenterology.
Sarges brings to his new duties experience in capsule endoscopy, colon cancer screening and fecal transplants as well as treating inflammatory bowel disease. He’s board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Sarges on our team. He’s truly passionate about his work, and you can see that passion, as well as his breadth of knowledge, shine through every day he cares for his patients,” said Dr. Brent Prosser, a gastroenterologist at Grand Junction Gastroenterology.
Sarges said he’s excited to live and practice in Western Colorado. “The team at GJ Gastro is exceptional, and the quality of life the Grand Junction area provides is definitely a bonus.”
Sarges received his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed his residency and fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. He served as chief fellow and a chief resident at Georgetown Hospital.
Prosser called Sarges an asset to the practice and community. “Bringing physicians of his caliber to our region is critical for the care continuum for the patients we serve in Western Colorado.”
