Dr. Shannon Keel has joined HopeWest based in Grand Junction to lead a new program offering care to the elderly. She also will work with hospice and palliative care programs.
“Having Dr. Keel’s experience is instrumental for the success of our expanding organization and continually meet the needs of our aging population,” said Christy Whitney Borchard, president and chief executive officer of HopeWest.
Keel holds board certification in family medicine and has practiced for 15 years, most recently with the family medicine residency program at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction caring for patients and training new physicians. Keel earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado and completed an advanced physician leadership program through the Regional Institute for Health and Environmental Leadership. She’s working on a master’s in public health degree.
