Dog show, golf tournament planned to raise money for advocacy group

Two events have been scheduled to raise money for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Mesa County.

A benefit billed as a doggie extravaganza is set for 10 a.m. to

3 p.m. June 2 at Long Family Memorial Park at 3117 F Road in Grand Junction. The event will include a dog show as well as children’s activities, food and vendors. An entry in the dog show costs $10.

A nine-hole glow golf tournament is set for June 15 at Chipeta  Golf Course, 229 29 Road in Grand Junction. Check-in is set to start at 6:30 p.m. Play will begin at 9:30 p.m. Admission in the four-person scramble is $65 and includes golf, appetizers, two drinks and an entry into a raffle.
