Downtown bookstore plans author presentations

A series of free presentations featuring local authors is scheduled to continue at Crystal Books and Gifts in downtown Grand Junction.

The Off the Shelf event set for 6 p.m. Aug. 25 will feature John Nizalowski, a Colorado Mesa University instructor who’s written four books exploring Native American myths and legends, and Sally Crum, an archaeologist who’s written four books about the original inhabitants of the region.

A presentation set for 6 p.m. Sept. 1 will feature Jan Lawson, an author and poet.
