Downtown bookstore schedules events

Crystal Books and Gifts in downtown Grand Junction has scheduled free events featuring authors and a handwriting analyst.

The Off the Shelf presentation set for July 28 will feature Jeanette Gerry, author of “The Dragon, The Butterfly and The Magical Moon,” and Edith Johnston, author of “Discovering The Intensity of Brilliance: A Mandala Journey.” The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the store, located at 439 Main St.

A presentation set for 6 p.m. Aug. 4 will feature Kimberley Harding, author of “A Woman’s Space: The Power of the Female Body” and Mary Lu Scholl, author of “Hazardous Duty” and “The Heart of the Swamp.”

A presentation set for 1 p.m. Aug. 7 will feature Polly Cady, a hnadwriting analyst who will discuss automatic writing, a process of writing information that doesn’t come from the conscious mind.
