A woman who’s served in a variety of state and federal government roles has announced her intention to step down from her latest position as executive director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
Betsy Markey announced her last day would be March 26.
Markey also served as regional administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration as well as a congresswoman from Colorado. She was appointed in late 2018 to lead the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
“Now that our economic momentum continues its path back to full strength, conditions support a successful transition to new leadership,” she said.
