The Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently appointed two individuals, Rick Ellis and Shenna Hayden, to fill vacant director positions. Ellis is the publisher of Fruita Living Magazine, and Hayden is the executive director of Museums of Western Colorado.

Meanwhile, three candidates have been nominated by the Fruita Chamber’s nominating committee to serve on the board of directors for three-year terms beginning in January 2027, and chamber members have until Sept. 18 to nominate additional candidates by petition.

The nominating committee’s three nominees are: Ryanne Buck of Bighorn Engineering; Russell Klase III of Reckless Brewing Company; and Tim Navin of Sparks Fly Studio.

If there are no nominees by petition, the three committee nominees automatically join the board. If one or more valid petitions are received, all candidates nominated by the committee and via petition will be placed on a ballot for chamber members in good standing to vote.
