This new space solidifies Encana as a committed, strategic business partner in the Piceance Basin and specifically the Parachute, Rifle and Battlement Mesa communities,” stated Darrin Henke, Vice-President, South Rockies Business Unit. “Our lease will deliver significant cost savings and the new space is designed to be an energy efficient, sustainable, collaborative work environment for our Parachute staff.”
Encana has outgrown its current space, with an employee count that has gone from 211 in 2010 to 242 by the end of 2011. The new building provides for anticipated growth. Upon completion, it will be the largest Encana field office in the United States.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the new building was held February 27 and included representatives from Garfield County and the local communities.
