A Colorado-based energy services company plans to expand its operations by opening a branch office in Grand Junction.
The Grand Junction Economic Partnership announced that Maverick Companies will open a facility at 787 Valley Court.
Based in Englewood, Maverick Companies has grown into one of the largest privately held oil and gas service companies in the country.
The firm provides services in eight states and also operates offices in Fort Morgan in northeast Colorado as well as in Aztec, N.M., and Bartlesville, Okla.
The firm provides a range of services, including oil and gas well stimulation, coil tubing and thru-tubing.
GJEP provided Maverick Companies with information about available properties as well as the procedures required to begin operations in Grand Junction.
“GJEP is very happy to have worked with Maverick and know this expansion is great for our community as we continue to rebound from the recession,” said Ann Driggers, president and chief executive officer of GJEP. “We gladly welcome Maverick to our community and know they will certainly contribute to our local economy.”
Bud Rice, regional manager for Maverick Companies, said, “We are excited to be opening a branch in Grand Junction as we know this community has the work force available to meet our needs.”
