Entries sought for business video competition

Entries will be accepted through Oct. 21 for a business video competition in which FirstBank will award $20,000 each to winning firms in Colorado and Arizona.

More information about the 90 Seconds to Success Business Contest — including submission guidelines, rules and deadlines — is available at www.efirstbank.com.

Contest entrants submit a 90-second video in MP4, MOV or WMV formats explaining how they’ll use the money to accelerate their operations. Videos will be judged on content, creativity and originality.

Five finalists will be selected in both Colorado and Arizona. The winners will be determined by a popular vote on the FirstBank Facebook page between Nov. 7 and 14. Winners will receive $20,000. Second-place finishers will receive $2,500.

While the contest sports a new name, the concept is similar to a competition FirstBank launched last year.

“The number of responses and effort put into these video submissions blew us away and showed the strong determination these business owners have,” said John Ikard, chief executive officer of FirstBank. “As a community bank, it’s important we support businesses that play a key role in job creation and economic development. This contest is just one way we help local companies grow.”

FirstBank operates a total of 120 locations in Colorado, Arizona and California. For additional information, log on to the website at  www.efirstbank.com.
