Event to connect young professionals network with CMU students and alumni

The Young Professionals Network of Mesa County has scheduled a free event for Colorado Mesa University students and alumni as well as young professionals.

The Tour de Rock event is set for 7:30 to 11 p.m. Sept. 14 at the corner of Fourth and Main Streets in downtown Grand Junction as part of the last farmers’ market of the season.

The event will include beer, bicycles, customers and live bands. Participants are invited to bicycle along the 10th Street bike path from the CMU campus to North Avenue to Grand Avenue and then downtown. The event will include a beer garden, food trucks and music. Special VIP happy hour tickets are available for $25. Proceeds will go to CMU scholarships.

“We are excited to partner with CMU as well as downtown Grand Junction for this exciting event,” said Jeff Wilson, president of the board of the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County. “We hope this continues to build community and allow YPN to show students and alumni that we provide networking and resources for young professionals and recent graduates.”
