Executive appointed chairman of state board

William Hays, senior vice president of operations for Hilltop Community Resources in Grand Junction, has been appointed chairman of the Colorado Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Advisory Council.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper appointed Hays to a term expiring in 2016. The council advises the governor and Division of Criminal Justice on juvenile justice issues, reviews and approves the state juvenile justice and delinquency prevention plan, reviews and approves applications for grant funding and makes recommendations for juvenile delinquency programs. “I look forward to coordinating with state programs and helping to promote innovative approaches developed by Western Slope organizations,” Hays said.
