Family Health West names new directors, physician assistant

Lennie Ecker has been hired as the new inpatient director of Colorado Canyons Hospital in Fruita.

Britney Guccini has been hired as director of the emergency department and trauma coordinator.

Diana Wright has been hired as physician assistant at the Family Health West access clinic in Fruita.

Ecker brings to his new duties training and education in medical services. He worked as a licensed practical nurse during his service in the Army and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Colorado Mesa University. He’s worked in emergency, intensive and long-term care settings.

Lori Randall, vice president of clinical services and chief nursing officer for Family Health West, said Ecker is well-suited for his new job. “His experience, vision and commitment to exceptional care are what make him ideal for this new role.”

Guccini holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from CMU.

Randall said she also expects Guccini to perform well. “She has demonstrated her commitment to improving emergency service delivery and will undoubtedly continue to help advance the organization.”

Wright holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Virginia Tech and masters of medical science degree from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania. She earned her physician assistant certification from Red Rocks Community College in Denver.
