Frank Smith has joined Family Health West in Fruita as the new operations manager of the Kokopelli Outpatient Procedure Center.

Smith brings to his new duties nearly 30 years of duty in the Army as well as eight years teaching high school and college courses. “I look forward to a new and challenging career in the medical field with Family Health West,” he said.
Smith joined the Army after graduating from military school in 1983. He served as a recruiter and station commander from 1988 to 1995 and retired from active duty in 2003. Smith completed his undergraduate degree in education in 2004 and became a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps instructor in Virginia. After starting two new programs in two separate counties, he began teaching history and career development classes at Southside Community College in 2005. He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership.
