The Rotary Club of Grand Junction brings the film festival to the Grand Valley.
The films are among those entered in the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival in Canada. With stops planned in about 550 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe, the tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental and adventure films from the festival.
In Grand Junction, the festival will offer separate lineups for a total of 18 films. The films were selected specifically for a local audience to include such activities as base jumping, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, running and skiing. The films are set everywhere from Fruita to Antarctica to the Himalayas. They focus not only on adventure and exploration, but also culture, diversity and humor.
