Firms make list of top Colorado workplaces

Edward Jones and U.S. Bank rank among the companies offering the top workplaces in Colorado, according to the latest results of an annual list compiled for the Denver Post newspaper.

Home Loan Insurance & Investment Co. in Grand Junction was among the companies that met national standards as a top workplace, but didn’t score high enough to make the top 100. Eide Bailly, an accounting and financial services firm with an operation in Grand Junction, also was listed among the companies honored as Workplace Achievers.

Edward Jones, a national financial services company that operates offices in the Grand Valley, ranked second among large companies with more than 500 local employees in the Top Workplaces for Colorado program for 2015.

U.S. Bank, which operates 165 branches and employs more than 2,600 people across Colorado, ranked 18th among large firms.

The Top Workplaces rankings are determined by employee feedback to questions including career opportunities within the organization and management. Employee surveys were administered by WorkplaceDynamics, a research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. To qualify for the Top Workplaces program, a company must have a minimum of 50 employees in Colorado.

“This is the second year that U.S. Bank has been named a Top Workplace in Colorado,” said Hassan Salem, president of U.S. Bank in Colorado. “We are very happy that our efforts to help make U.S. Bank a Top Workplace for our employees are being recognized by the Denver Post, and, more importantly, by our employees.”
