Jamie Lummis, Josh Niernberg and Julie Shafer have been appointed to the Grand Junction Visitor & Convention Bureau board of directors. Brad Taylor was appointed to a second term on the board.
Lummis is president of Moody Insurance Agency. Niernberg is owner and executive chef of the Bin 707 Foodbar. Shafer works as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties. Taylor is a retired parks manager.
The four all will serve three-years on the nine-member board, which oversees the VCB and its efforts to bolster tourism.
“I am both honored and excited to be serving on the Grand Junction VCB board of directors,” Shafer said. “Tourism can be a driving force in economic development. Western Colorado has the lifestyle that is appealing to many young professionals and business owners. Being able to promote this area and introduce new opportunities for economic growth and development is the primary reason that I wanted to serve on this board.”
