Four-wheel-drive repair shop to bring in professional guide for staff training

A Grand Junction auto repair business that specializes in four-wheel-drive vehicles plans to bring in a professional guide for a day of staff training. Safari Ltd. plans to bring in Bill Burke of Bill Burke’s 4-Wheeling America. The training is set for April 25.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to offer this training to our staff. This will invariably benefit our customers by providing our staff with hands-on training from one of the very best in the industry,” said Hugh Phillips, owner of Safari Ltd.

Operating out of Fruita, Burke teaches back country driving techniques and extrication methods as well as vehicle preparation and maintenance, navigation and environmental awareness. Burke also offers courses and leads back country trips to a wide range of clients. In addition, he serves as a consultant to four-wheel drive manufacturers, dealerships and government organizations.

Located at 1005 Pitkin Ave., Safari Ltd. offers service and parts for Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles. The shop specializes in Toyota four-wheel-drive vehicles and off-road outfitting. For more information, call 245-5898 or log on to
