Four winners named for “I Voted” sticker designs

Mesa County Elections announced the winners of the third annual “I Voted” sticker contest, an initiative designed to showcase the artistic talents of local youth in grades 1 through 12 while promoting civic pride and community engagement.

The 2026 “I Voted” sticker contest winners are: Alyna Labrum, fourth grade, New Emerson Elementary; Rhett Behrman, fourth grade, Independence Academy; Jacob Walden, eighth grade, Independence Academy; and Amora Wilson, ninth grade, Grand Junction High School.

“It’s inspiring to see the creativity of our community’s youth highlight the importance of civic engagement for the third year in a row,” Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Bobbie Gross said. “We look forward to seeing voters proudly wear these beautiful ‘I Voted’ stickers during the 2026 election season. Congratulations to the winners!”

Gross added many people chose to vote in person in recent elections just to pick up a sticker designed by the students.

This year’s contest drew more than 175 submissions, and the following local businesses donated prizes for the student winners: Hart Music; Bananas Fun Park; Barnes & Noble; Enstrom Candies; Pablo’s Pizza; Zephyr; and Starbucks (12th Street location).
