Franchisees sought for Dunkin’ Donut operations

A national restaurant chain is looking for entrepreneurs interested in opening Dunkin’ Donuts franchises in Grand Junction and other Western Colorado locations.

“Dunkin’ Donuts is looking for qualified candidates with food service, operations and real estate experience to join our team and grow the brand in Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs and Durango, said Grant Benson, vice president of global franchising and business development for Dunkin’ Brands.

“By joining our team, franchisees become part of a nationally established brand that has been in existence for over 60 years, has 95 percent brand recognition in the U.S., a multi-million national advertising fund, world-class training and ongoing support, among many other benefits,” Benson said.

An informational franchising webinar is scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m. Sept. 17. To register or obtain more information, visit www.franchisingevents.dunkinbrands.com.

In addition to doughnuts and coffee, Dunkin’ Donut restaurants serve muffins, bagels and sandwiches as well as frozen drinks.

Eleven Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants operate in Colorado. But a nationwide expansion is planned as part of a long-term effort to operate 15,000 restaurants in the U.S.

To promote growth in Colorado, the chain offers special development incentives that include reduced royalty fees for three years and up to $10,000 in local marketing for stores that meat certain goals.

Dunkin’ Donuts offers various concepts for its franchises, including free-standing restaurants as well as operations in travel plazas, convenience stores, universities and other retail locations. The chain also allows franchisees to select from among various design options that work best for their restaurant sizes and locations.
