Free business coaching offered at the Factory

Free one-on-one small business coaching sessions are set for 1 to 4 p.m. May 17 at the Factory, a coworking space located at 750 Main St. in Grand Junction.

The sessions are available by reservation, and openings are limited. For reservations, log on to bit.ly/consult517.

Julie Morey, director of the Small Business Development Center in Grand Junction, will meet with participants to cover a range of topics, including accounting, administrative functions, customer service, financing, manufacturing and marketing.

The Factory is a collaboration of Launch West CO, the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Alliance and Mesa County Libraries. Library patrons can use the Factory up to five times a month for no charge during business hours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.

Governor plans town hall meeting in Grand Junction

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is scheduled to appear at a town hall style meeting set for 4 p.m. May 20 in the Meyer Ballroom of the Colorado Mesa University Center in Grand Junction.

Hickenlooper as well as Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne are expected to offer brief remarks and then take questions from the audience.
