A free presentation on the effects of health care reform on seniors is set for 3 p.m. Aug. 18 in Grand Junction.

The 90-minute presentation is planned for the Garden Room of the Commons assisted living facility located at 625 27 1/2 Road.

Betty Sweeney, a senior liaison for U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), will discuss the implications of the newly enacted health care reform legislation on Medicare, prescription drugs and taxes.
